New training module available!

We are excited to announce that we are releasing a new module of training to be available as of the start of 2023. The Scenario module!

What is the scenario module?

The scenario module is 4 hour module that can be added to either:

  • HLAID009 CPR annual update course, or:
  • HLTAID013 Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Sites.

The How does it work?

When you add the module to the CPR update it allows for a day of training where we will conduct the CPR course and then have a ‘bank’ of scenarios to practice skill and process implementation for the majority of the remainder of the day. Included in the module is an open Q&A to cover specifics requirements of your property. Maybe it’s a case study, maybe it’s a workshop of emergency response processes. It will contain a minimum of 4 scenarios to practice skills.

If you add the module to the 2-day course, it extends the course into a 3rd day (so allow 3 ½ days). The scenarios are then ‘scattered’ throughout the course to allow more practice time, question time and general ‘knowledge absorption’ time.

What do I need to do?

Just let us know by email or phone call if you want to add the scenario module to your course. Simple.

When do I need to let you know?

If you want to implement the scenario pack to your HLTAID013 Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Sites course for 2023, we will need to know by 30 Nov 2022 so we can allow for the extra time in our calendar. Once the calendar is in place, it will be difficult to add the course as we will be committed to the logistics of getting to the next course!

Why is this module being introduced?

This module has come to life thanks to the feedback we have received over the last couple of years of running the new HLTAID013 Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Sites. So, thanks everyone for your feedback. It is most valuable and allows us to develop the courses ongoing.

Cost?

The scenario module is $95 per person added to the base course cost.

What now?

To add your scenario module to your course, email info@ruralandremotefirstaid.com.au or call 0491 057 339. Remember, we need to know whether you want the scenario module prior to 30 Nov 2022 so we can calendar appropriately!
