The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the parched earth as Matt mustered a stubborn beast. A large unseen loose rock sent the motorbike off in an unexpected direction throwing Matt violently onto a twisted stump of an old mallee tree. Phone reception was non existent, but Matt wasn’t helpless, he made the call back to base on his two way alerting them to his predicament before going in to action.
