 Important First Aid Training Update

Important First Aid Training Update

**Important Update to training**

The Australian Industry and Skills Committee released updated advice on First Aid Training to be implemented by the 1st of September 2022. The statement says “that all reasonable adjustments implemented during the pandemic should be removed before the 1st of September 2022.

So we will return to the CPR training of 30 compressions to 2 breaths. We will be returning to issuing face shields to all participants and the lungs will be returned to the manikins for assessment of ‘rise and fall of the chest’.

Also to quote the release document “Learners will not have the opportunity to request an exemption from providing rescue breaths if they wish to gain a competent result in the Unit of Competency and/or qualification“.

We look forward to seeing you out on station.
