What’s all this about new First Aid courses?
I have been communicating with many of you recently about the new First Aid courses coming out next year. These new course codes were released on Training.gov.au on October 16th 2020 and will supersede all previous courses.
There have been some changes to the courses in a attempt to make them more ‘Industry relevant’. Whilst some changes are positive to some industries, it may require a new look at the course that best suits your own individual requirements. Below is a graphic the represents the code changes/migrations.
Our signature course (HLTAID013 Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Sites) has benefited from this change. However, what was previously the HLTAID003 (now HLTAID011) has had some components simplified and removed making it less of an option suited to Pastoral Property operations. So please look over the course content prior to making your next course decision.
We have also been able to have input to the development and approval of our own version of the HLTAID013 course. This means that the scenarios, content and assessment questions have been uniquely tuned for the Pastoral Industry. We think it is a big step forward. No longer a generic course curriculum.
If you would like to know more about our unique course content, or have any questions about how the new course codes might affect you, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Email: info@ruralandremotefirstaid.com.au or call 0491 057 339.
Stay safe. All the best.
